Your trip, your way
Our ready-made packages suit most birders, but every group is different. Maybe you have a short list of target birds, a few free days around a conference or a cruise, a family with mixed interests, or a camera you want to put to work. We build the trip around you.
We are a local, family-run team of bird guides, and as Beautiful Tours, S.A., a licensed travel agency and tour operator, we can book everything in one place: guides, vehicles and drivers, hotels and lodges, boats, domestic flights and airport transfers.
Ideas to build on
- Central Panama and the Canal: Metropolitan Park, Pipeline Road and the PRDC tower, Old Gamboa Road, birding by boat on Gatún Lake, Achiote Road and San Lorenzo.
- The foothills: Cerro Azul and Cerro Jefe, Altos de Campana, El Valle de Antón and Altos del María.
- The Chiriquí highlands: Resplendent Quetzal and the highland birds of western Panama around Volcán, Cerro Punta and Boquete, by air or by road.
- The Darién: lowland rainforest and the Harpy Eagle in eastern Panama. See the Darién trip.
- Extras: owling at dusk, photography days at the feeders, a day on the islands or the beach, a Canal transit, or a few nights in Panama City's Casco Viejo.
Not sure where to start? Look at our 4-day and 7-day Central Panama packages and tell us what you would change.
How it works
- Tell us your plans. Your dates (or the month), the number of travelers, your target birds or places, and the kind of lodging you like.
- Get a proposal. We reply personally with an itinerary and a price, usually within one or two days, and adjust it with you until it fits.
- Pay a deposit. We send you a private, secure payment link (WeTravel). A 30% deposit confirms the trip.
- Pay the balance. The balance is due 60 days before arrival, on the same link. Booking less than 60 days ahead? You pay in full.
Cancellation rules for packages and tailored trips are in our Terms.
